BAN vs IRE: Bangladesh rests Mahmudullah for Ireland ODIs

It has been reported that Bangladesh cricket team has rested their experienced all-rounder, Mahmudullah Riyad, for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Ireland. The decision was made with an eye on the upcoming T20 World Cup later this year, to manage the workload of the players and give opportunities to younger players.

Mahmudullah is a key member of the Bangladesh team and has been a consistent performer for the team over the years. He has played 195 ODIs and scored 4070 runs at an average of 33.38, and also picked up 82 wickets with his off-spin bowling. Mahmudullah's experience and leadership will be missed in the upcoming series against Ireland.

However, this decision provides an opportunity for some of the younger players to step up and showcase their skills. Bangladesh has a good record against Ireland, having won six out of the seven ODIs they have played against each other. The upcoming series will be a good opportunity for Bangladesh to test their bench strength and give exposure to some of the promising young talents.
